Born in London, Freddi C came of age during the underground acid-house days of England in the late 80s. Her love for electronic music led her to an appreciation of the whole DJ culture...from the club flyers and vinyl record sleeves to the street graffiti, fashion, and computer graphics. Currently based in Los Angeles, Freddi has had solo exhibitons in New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit. She has been featured in numerous group shows in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and most recently in London. She has been commissioned to paint murals in offices for clients such as Red Bull in addition to a giant mural in Sydney Australia, CD cover design, and numerous magazine illustrations. Freddi's work has been published in such magazines as Urb Magazine, Timeout NY, Elixir, Juxtapoz, Jointz Magazine, Sportswear International (Front Cover) and Vibe Magazine. There is an exciting young culture today; a culture driven by a soundtrack of beats and colored by art of the streets. With the ongoing series of flyer miles, Freddi C explores the graphic dynamic of an underground scene exploding all around us. |
