Mr. Ramos was born in Burbank
and later decided to participate in it's booming animation industry.
Graduating from The California Institute of the Arts in 1997
in character animation Senor Ramos became a jack of all trades
in the cartooning biz. From a character designer to a layout
artist to a character layout artist to an art director to a
writer, Commander Ramos has been dazzling children with his
animation wares for almost a decade. He won an Annie Award in
1998 for Individual Achievment in Production Design for Nickelodeon’s
"Chalkzone".
Captain Ramos has created such cartoons as "Day of the
Monkey"’ for MTV, "Twins Crimson"’ and "A
Dog and His Boy"’ for Nickelodeon. Carlos recently wrote
for the Cartoon Network series’ "Time Squad"’ and
"Whatever Happened to Robot Jones"’ and is currently
developing BIG top secret animated projects. His illustrations
have also appeared on Consolidated Skateboards and in Rolling
Stone Magazine.
What's in store next for
this talented young man? Well, aside from doing various paintings
for all the Burning Brush auctions Constible Ramos has co-hosted
this event every year as an auctioneer along with Tim Biskup.
His artistic influences include Daniel Clowes, M. Sasek, Ralph
Steadman and his best pal, illustrator Miles Thompson. He doesn't
have a website and feels really bad about that.
