Miles paints and has for years now to indulge his experimental interest in color and design as well as to improve his skills as a draftsman and illustrator. At times it manages to be fun as well as profitable. Before his career really blossomed and in his forth year in college, Mr Thompson was unable to charm the faculty at California Institute of the Arts and was thusly denied the financial aid that is required to hibernate at a safe house like CAL ARTS.(Also it should be noted that since his expulsion from Disney's world famous animation learning facility after only 3 short years there he was asked back to Valencia to do 2 different design workshops with the new students at the CIA character animation program) Following college he was, regardless of his degreeless status, able to land a job in television animation industry when it was still showing signs that it was alive and healthy unlike the COLD, DEAD, singular studio that still produces new cartoons in Burbank today - now it's swollen and diseased egos are overgrown with a need for therapy due to bizarre love triangles, drug abuse, and sex change operations. (to be fair there are a few exceptions still working there though VERY FEW and HOW do we ever feel for those people's toiling and un-credited hands!) Shortly after the young crippled personalities were given the opportunity to manipulate the cartoon industry's hiring/firing structure these same child geniuses were simultaneously handed the chance to spend MILLIONS of dollars on overseas animated productions. Episode by episode those dollars that were squandered and to date haven't produced any REAL sensational or humorous overacting as seen in Ren & Stimpy, or Classic WB shorts(...and the same cartoon hating egocentric individuals responsible for regenerating the same half hour over and over again are no longer the energetic seedlings they were when they took their positions as the holders of so many fates). Miles grew weary of begging for his boring job back from these characters and realized that change can be good thing. The infantile powers at C#rt@@n N#tw#rk were doing him a service by denying him access to their weak personalities and lame group lunch/gag/story jam sessions so he embraced the computer and all of it's creative potential. At the same time he started to paint frequently and discovered a new & exciting world of print. Since then he has single handedly built a means of expressing himself when, where, and however he likes in the form of a website. www.kooch-e-koo.com Miles has his portfolio expansion plans "in motion" (lame as animation pun is ENTIRELY intended here) constantly and that is saying the least about this genius.
